How Do I Alkalize??? WHAT CAN I DO…?

1. EXERCISE

Moderate exercise is alkalizing to the body. Excessive exercise (past the point of exhaustion) can create an acidic problem due to lactic acid buildup. People who are acidic usually feel worse from exercise because their detoxification organs are not working properly due to excessive acid in the tissues. Yet without exercise, acid and toxin buildup are likely.

2. FRESH AIR

As the saying goes - "every step you take, every breath you take ...".

If your environment is polluted with chemicals, dust, smoke, pet dander, mold, and micro-organisms, then much of your energy reserve will go just towards detoxifying. Today, even in the forest and near the ocean, the amount of negative ions are much lower than they were only a few decades ago. Also, since buildings are sealed air-tight to conserve energy and we started making our homes and furnishings with synthetic materials, the number of cases of asthma and chronic fatigue have risen dramatically.

3. FOOD COMBINING

Food combining is key to creating an alkaline environment because when you combine properly you reduce putrefaction in the body creating a more alkaline condition.

4. ALKALIZING DIETARY SUPPLEMENTATION

Green drinks are very helpful in filtering out toxins and acidity in the body. There are also many green supplements on the market as well, but can be spendy and need to be taken regularly to notice the effects.

5. ALKALINE DIET

We are not a society that eats all greens. For that reason, it is important to at least consume 80% of your diet as alkaline foods. It is also important to include some acid foods in your diet. The proper ratio to benefit is 80%alkaline/20%acidic. Eating an alkaline diet is very powerful in making everything else work better. Integrate more Alkaline Foods, consisting mostly of fruits and vegetables into your diet.

6. MEDITATION and DEEP BREATHING

Meditating and deep breathing on a regular basis are very alkalizing. We are so used to breathing shallow that we aren’t getting our body the oxygen it needs. Take a moment and try to take some deep breaths by allowing your inhale to fill up your stomach. Bring the breath all the way down and hold and release. Learn and practice Transcendental Meditation (TM). TM is a non-dietary way to increase the alkalinity of your body. TM gives a level of rest twice as deep as sleep and is an effective antidote to stress. Stress is insidious because it affects us 24 hours each day. Stress causes the heart to beat too fast, the muscles to be too tense, the entire metabolism to be too fast. Metabolic waste products are acids (lactic acid, uric acid, etc.), which is one reason why dissolving stress increases the alkalinity of the body. The effectiveness of TM is evidenced by a 53% reduction in overall health care costs and a 55% reduction in cancer (Psychosomatic Medicine 49 (1987): 493-507, American Journal of Managed Care Volume 3, Number 1, (1997): 135-144).

7. ELIMINATE NEGATIVE EMOTIONS WHICH CAUSE ACIDITY

Have you ever been so upset with someone or something that you get an upset stomach? All negative emotions create an acidic environment. Have you ever heard anyone say you are letting your problems "eat away at you" or "get the best of you"?

Fear is the underlining cause of most disease. It will undermine your life and your health. Fear causes anger. Anger causes hate. Hate will consume you with continual suffering. Love and understanding cleanse and heal the body creating an alkaline environment within you.
